  Karien Cherry |  Writer | Director  For over 5 years, Karien has been creating beautifully photographed and poignant films in South Africa. First as a student at  AFDA  and now professionally for  Giant Films  and as a freelancer with DP/husband, Nicholas Cherry. Her sensitivity and vision for the art of filmmaking are unmistakable and her eye for detail is always evident in her work. She has written and directed three acclaimed films including   Mr. Blue Sky   ,    Of Gravity and Life  , and the award winning   I am Abel  .

  Daniel J. Harris  | Filmmaker, Producer, iPhoneographer  Dan runs  filmfoto , a full service digital video production company and film collective in Harrington Street, Cape Town  His debut feature American Independent film,   The Bible and Gun Club   won the Slamdance Jury award as well as the Locarno Film festival Jury prize, best film Atlanta Film Festival, Critics Week Rotterdam, Karlovy Vary and was nominated for three Independent Spirit awards.  In addition to filmfoto, Dan somehow finds the time to collaborate with the Slamdance Film Festival, producing  a documentary series and he hosts the annual  Slamdance Africa: Sunday Bloody Slamdance Film Festival  at the Labia Theater.  Originally trained in animation, Dan worked on shows like  The Simpsons  and  The Ren & Stimpy Show .     Dan's recently produced collaborative film   I Want to Be an American  , premieres in January, 2013 at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The film features Dan's short film,  Rosa , co-edited by Bahia Fitchen from A+B=FilmUnit.

Chris Scarffe | Photographer, Cameraman, Producer 

Chris runs the film & photography company, Moz Images, which focuses on wildlife and conservation projects. Moz Images filmed, produced and edited the highly acclaimed shark documentary Shiver, which highlights the issues surrounding shark finning in coastal Mozambique. The company also filmed for the BBC Indian Ocean series, which screened in 2012 and its photographs featured in a host of online and print publications including: BBC, Africa Geographic, Nat Geo Traveller, Dive Site, Getaway, FHM and Sport Diver.
